What is this thing?

Messers Moon and Star, 34, clad in clompers and toting walking sticks, are original members of the band.  When Reunion sought a logo (seen at the top of the page), the designer included these two dapper gentlemen.  Why?  We're not really sure, but the band liked 'em enough to keep their good vibes shining.
